Welcome

For Queen & Country is a UK-based, unofficial ‘Living’* Spycraft campaign.

Spycraft is a modern D20 roleplaying game. We are using the version 1 rulebook – the Spycraft Espionage Handbook. Players have the option of creating ‘agents’ who can be Facemen**, Fixers, Pointmen**, Snoops, Soldiers and Wheelmen**.

All agents work for the National Intelligence Agency, a branch of the British Intelligence Service that deals in counter-terrorism and counter-espionage.

The campaign is ‘real world’ (imagine the BBC series [ spooks ] ) with a little bit of James Bond glamour thrown in for good measure.

Unlike the previous Living Spycraft campaign (which was, unfortunately, cancelled late in 2007) our campaign has a cohesive world setting with recurring characters and locations and an overarching storyline. Each year we will endeavour to run a season of nine modules at UK conventions.

Our Personnel section is where our agents leave a few words about themselves. If you want to add your own agent details contact the sysadmin.

Security/Ops is where you’ll find a brief synopsis of past missions and, once we’re ready to release them, PDFs of missions for you to play at home.

The Mission Debrief section is where the campaign team will give you the low down on how missions ran at conventions, and what the average overall outcome was of each game (important if we want to keep to the ongoing storyline).

Logistics contains all of the resources you will need as a player or a writer. Players have a character sheet, MRD and equipment list. Writers have the writer’s guidelines, campaign setting and a template to create your own mission.

The Plans section lists the conventions that the campaign team will be attending. We will add to this as we know more.

Finally, the campaign team would just like to thank you for your interest – we hope you have fun creating characters and playing our game – see you at a convention soon!

* Please note: we are not part of the RPGA. Our campaign is ‘Living’ in the sense that players create a character who progresses through convention play.
